Composition of the programme: 120 SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) credits (60 ECTS) in each academic year, delivered in modules of 20 or 40 credits each. In year 1, 3 modules of 20 credits each are taken in term 1, and 2 in term 2. The remaining of 20 credits in term 2 comprise of a series of microcredentials. In year 2, students select 3 out of 5 20-credit modules in term 1 and take a 40-credit group project alongside 20 credits of microcredentials in term 2. In third year, students select 1 out of 4 40-credit modules alongside a 20-credit module in term 1, and have a 60-credit group project Ìýin term 2. In the final year, 3 20-credit modules prepare you for the Ìý60 credit independent project.Ìý
Contact hours and workload: Each academic year typically requires 1200 hours of student effort; on average across the 4 years of this programme, 24% of that time is in lectures, seminars and similar activities; the remainder is independent study.Ìý
Assessment methods: Throughout all year, work is assessed through portfolio and practical coursework, presentations, essays, and reports. Project modules are assessed through the submission of conceptual work, design solutions, interactive media products, and associated reporting.Ìý
